Peak Consult unveiled it’s spectacular new SunFyre loudspeaker at the Vienna High End Show in June to a much critical acclaim.
SunFyre is an ultra-high-end, three-way MTM (Midwoofer-Tweeter-Midwoofer), five driver floorstander designed by audio pioneer Wilfried Ehrenholz, co-founder and former owner of Dynaudio, and now co-owner and chief product designer at Peak Consult. SunFyre bridges the gap between the El Diablo and the flagship Dragon Legacy models as the brand’s most transparent and ambitious creation.
SunFyre uses a symmetrical D’Appolito driver configuration to deliver 90 dB efficiency at a stable 4-ohm impedance. The speaker inherits the iconic, dragon-inspired sculptural silhouette of its larger siblings, but features a more compact footprint tailored for a wider range of listening rooms.
Handcrafted in Denmark, the cabinet features Peak Consult’s proprietary multi-layer, highly dampened wood construction to eliminate unwanted resonance. The result is a superbly transparent, lifelike soundstage.
