ReBound – Cable Energy Management Component
- £20Noise in the form of microphony (mechanical to ellectrical noise conversion) affects every component in a system, including the cabling. The ReBound is primarily designed to allow mechanical energy in system cabling to be managed effectively. They can be used to advantage on power, signal and speaker cables.The ReBound is available in two cable size fittings:
ReBound A – Suitable for large diameter cables up to 17mm in diameter.
ReBound C – Suitable for cables up to 10mm diameter.
Two modes of use can be adopted:
Cable damping – a single cable is threaded through the ReBound (as illustrated).
Cable Coupling – two cables can be damped and coupled mechanically using a single ReBound or, more effectively an ‘inverted pair’ of ReBounds. Cable coupling can bring significant advantages to system ‘timing’ as well as bringing the benefits of lower apparent background hash.
